UCC Hawaii was established in 1989 and is fully managed by Ueshima Coffee Company (UCC) which is one of the largest coffee companies in Japan. UCC was founded in 1933 in Kobe, Japan and is engaged in all aspects of coffee including producing, selling & cultural activities. UCC Hawaii has over 18,000 coffee trees on approximately 40 acres of land located in Holualoa, HI.
The award-winning Kona Coffee Cultural Festival started in 1970 & has grown into ten days of events promoting Hawaii's unique culture and diversity & supporting the festivals mission to preserve, perpetuate & promote Kona's unique coffee heritage. Our Miss Kona Coffee Scholarship competition wouldn't be possible without the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival. We are a signature event of the festival that takes place each November.
Meet our Little Sister Competition
The Little Miss Kona Coffee Scholarship Competition (LMKC) is a program for Hawai’i Island young ladies ages 5-12. The goal of LMKC is to instill the opportunities of pageantry from a young age; to nurture their growth to become an excellent delegate for Miss Kona Coffee’s Teen, Miss Hawaii’s Teen, Miss Kona Coffee, Miss Aloha Hawai’i, Miss Hawai’i and Miss America.
